BRANDING : Pink Ribbon Cup
You may remember a few months back I created a new brand for Pink Lady Cup - a charity race day here in Melbourne to raise money for breast cancer research. Well, with a change in sponsor and charity, there had to be a little bit of redesign. Check out the new brand.
I LOVE the slightly retro feel and the bold, fresh colour scheme!

MELBOURNE made - design magazine
Late last year, I had the pleasure on working on and AMAZING new project! Through the awesome Clever Mumma directory, I pitched for (and won!) a project to create the branding and design template for a new magazine called MELBOURNEmade - a quarterly publication celebrating the creativity of this amazing city.
It so exciting to get to create something like this completely from scratch. When I read the brief it said that the demographic was 25 - 40 year old women, living in Melbourne who are mothers, sisters, wives, who like to shop local, handmade, out-of-the-ordinary... Emm, hello me!
Issue 1 hits the shelves on 25th Feb - can't wait to see it!
Want to win a copy before it hits the shelves? Head on over to their Facebook page and find out how!

Branding project: TELL me your TOP 3!
I'm sketching some initial ideas for a new branding project at the moment and would LOVE some feedback from all you design savvy readers!
The event is a charity race day where all money raised goes to the Breast Cancer Network Australia.
I won't go into any design rationale - I just want you to give me your gut reaction and tell me your top 3 designs. If you want to elaborate, it's always welcomed!

Affordable DESIGN for business is HERE!
I've been working this last few months on an exciting new venture for Buttercup Ink... and now it's time to share!
At the networking events I've been at and just chatting to other mums in business, I've found that whilst everyone starting out in business would love a beautiful brand that is consistent across their printed collateral, Facebook, blog, etc. they just don't have the cash to spend up front with an agency in the early days. So, I've decided to create Buttercup Ink : The Brand Shop. This will be a one stop shop for your logos and printed items to get you started in the most professional way and have your brand say exactly what you want it to!
This is how it works...
Example logos will be available to purchase from the shop. You then just let me know what colours you would like from the colour chart and your company name. I'll then work my magic and put it together just for you and send you a proof. When I get the thumbs up from you, I'll then forward your personalised logo suite with all the various formats for you to keep! EASY!
Each logo will only be sold 5 times and no two logos will have the same colour scheme so there is no chance of duplicates! We wouldn't want that!
There will also be packages available that will contain print-ready pdf's of your business card, letterhead, Facebook profile pic, etc. to ensure the symmetry across all areas of the business. But more on that later!
Here are a few of the sample logo's to whet your appetite! What do you think?

Branding project EMMA DE SMIT

The end design is clean, crisp and flexible - a point that was important to Emma as she works on various projects across many different industries. The final card was printed on 350gsm matt cello stock with a very subtle clear varnish on the leaf mark on the reverse.
